Compostable Packaging aand Carbon Emission

This sketch from TUV Austria explains how Compostable Packaging can help in our efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Compostable Bioplastic materials have the huge advantage of reducing plastic waste accumulating in the environment.

But they have another important advantage. By composting the packaging we are depositing the carbon in the pack back into the environment safely. We are capturing the carbon and growing more plants.

As some of the raw materials used to make compostable bioplastics are also plants, we are capturing more carbon at the source. We are then fully realizing the circular potential of compostable packaging – from plant to package to compost and plant again.
